Do you KNOW HOW to measure plant quality and know when you have poor or excellent quality plants? Food Quality is easily determined by using a refractometer to measure the Brix of plant Juices. The Brix Scale on a refractometer is a measure of the dissolved solids in the juice from your plant product.  Most of the solids are carbohydrates in plant juices, but vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other plant produced compounds are also present in the plant juice.  The main thing you want to remember is the higher the Brix value, the higher the nutrient content in your plants, and the higher the plant quality.  High Brix means high plant quality and higher mineral content.  Low brix means low plant quality and lower mineral content. We recommend this refractometer (click here) to test the quality of your fruit and vegetables. Illustrations of High Brix produce grown in Backyard Gardens Using our Organic Gardening Kit For Tomatoes or any other kind of vegetables.   High Yield Illustration High Brix Early Girl Tomatoes (10 brix) After 4 frosts, 215 tomatoes were harvested from one Early Girl Plant.  31 of those tomatoes were ripe. 100-200 tomatoes ripened and were previously harvested from the plant. • Planters II Trace Mineral Fertilizer  provides all the important trace minerals needed by plants.

• Calcium Kit provides lime, soft rock phosphate and gypsum for your soils.  These minerals, in conjunction with our other products, support high plant yields, high quality plants (high brix), and faster plant growth to maturity.
